ChinaAid reports that Pastor Wang Yi may be suffering from advanced liver cancer. Wang, the founder and senior pastor of Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, has been imprisoned since December 2018.
Pray →Shepherd, we lift up Pastor Wang Yi, who suffers in confinement and illness within China. You know the number of his days and see his affliction. Strengthen him with a steadfast spirit even as his body struggles, and let Your comfort surround him in this trial. Reveal Jesus to those who guard him and stand against him, turning hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. Let this time be a witness to the courage and hope found in Christ alone. Support the church in Chengdu as they persevere without their shepherd, filling them with peace that surpasses understanding. Bring health where there is sickness, light where there is darkness, and faith where there is doubt. For Yours is the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Pakistan Court Delays Hearing on Christian Girl’s Recovery Case
Pakistan’s Federal Constitutional Court has postponed a hearing on a Christian family’s petition to recover their daughter, after learning that a summons had not been delivered to the man accused of abducting her because his residential address was considered incomplete.
Pray →Savior, we lift up the Christian family in Pakistan who wait for their daughter's return, their hearts heavy with longing and hope. You are close to the brokenhearted — be near them in this season of delay and uncertainty, and let Your presence sustain their faith. Move the hearts of those involved in the legal proceedings; bring justice swiftly and truthfully. Break through the obstacles that hinder her recovery, and reveal Jesus to all, including the officials and the man accused of taking her. Open eyes to Your light, drawing many in Pakistan into Your grace. Strengthen believers throughout the land to stand firm in courage, knowing You rescue Your people from trouble. In Your mighty name we ask it. Amen.

Pray →Living God, we lift before You the church across Africa and Asia, where persecution has sharpened, and many face daily threats for their faith. In the midst of this trial, sustain Your people as they stand firm in Christ, clinging to the hope that does not disappoint. You know every sparrow that falls and count the very hairs of their heads. Reveal Jesus to those who rage against believers, opening eyes that are blind to see Your light. As darkness covers these lands, let Your Gospel break forth like the dawn. Guard those who gather in secret, strengthen their hearts with grace to endure and to witness, and pour out courage to proclaim Your name despite fear. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, whose kingdom cannot be shaken. Amen.

Pray →Lord of Hosts, we come before You on behalf of the young Christians in northern Mozambique, surrounded by opposition for their faith. You are a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Shield these believers, providing them with strength and courage to stand firm in their convictions despite rejection. Open the eyes of their families and neighbors to see the light of Christ. Break down the barriers of prejudice and fear that isolate them.
