Pray with the global church

God of Mercy, we lift up Lida Alexani as she faces imprisonment in Iran, alongside her husband Joseph Shahbazian. In the midst of their trials, let Your presence be their fortress and refuge. Break the power of fear that seeks to paralyze them and sustain them with Your peace. You are close to the brokenhearted; bind up their wounds. Reveal Jesus to the authorities who imprison them and to those witnessing these injustices. Let hearts be turned toward mercy and compassion. We ask that the gospel would spread even in Evin Prison, bringing freedom to those bound by darkness. For Your mercy endures forever, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
