Pray with the global church

Lord of Creation, who commands the wind and the waves, we lift before You the people of the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, and China as they face the fury of Typhoon Bavi. You see the destruction and fear left in its path, and You alone can speak peace to the storm. Protect those now evacuating, bring healing to the injured, and comfort to grieving families. Reveal Jesus as the shelter and hope for all affected, and let His name be known among those who seek refuge. Guard the hearts of those who have lost homes and livelihoods, and restore what has been broken for the glory of Your name. You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Amen.
