Pray with the global church

God of Deliverance, we give thanks for the release of the two church leaders in Sudan's Nuba Mountains. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Establish Your peace in the hearts of these leaders as they return to their communities, and let their testimony be a light to those around them. Sustain the believers of Sudan with Your truth and presence, and open the eyes of those who yet resist Your name. Reveal Jesus to the captors and the watching communities, that they may know the One who sets captives free. In Your mercy, let justice and peace flow like a river across Sudan. Through Christ, our Redeemer, we entrust these leaders and their witness to You. Amen.
