Pray with the global church

Most High God, we bring before You John Sanqiang Cao in Changsha, China, as he battles late-stage cancer far from his family. You are the One who upholds all creation; uphold him now in this valley of the shadow. Give strength to his body and peace to his spirit, guarding him with Your presence. Reveal Jesus to the medical staff and surrounding community through his witness, even in illness. Open a path for John to be reunited with his loved ones if it be Your will, and comfort Jamie and their family as they bear this distance. Establish Your truth and hope in the hearts of those who persecute or oppose him, that they might see Christ in their midst. In the name of Jesus, our Shepherd and Savior. Amen.
