Faithful Shepherd, we lift up Iran and the story of the US missionary who endured nine weeks in Evin Prison. You see the walls of oppression that surround the innocent and hear the cries of those who are threatened for Your name. Establish Your presence in every cell, turning what men intend for harm into a testimony of Your grace and strength. Like Paul, let the cells be a place of praise and worship to Your Name and testimonies of redemption and repentance come flowing out of Evin Prison. Sustain the believers in Iran with courage and peace, and reveal Jesus to both captives and captors. Break the chains of fear and let the truth of the Gospel shine brightly in that place. May those who resist Your name encounter the freedom found only in Christ, and let Your mercy triumph over judgment. For the glory of Your Kingdom we pray, in the name of Jesus our Redeemer. Amen.
