Pray with the global church

Great Intercessor, we come before You on behalf of Your church across the ages and in every land, as persecution has persisted from the Roman Empire to this very day. Teach us to pray, just as Jesus taught His disciples, that we might intercede with understanding and boldness. Strengthen those who suffer for Your name's sake, sustaining them in body and spirit. Reveal Jesus to those who persecute, that they might see the light of the world in the faces of His followers. Let justice roll down like waters where oppression reigns, and let Your peace cover regions torn by hostility. Keep Your children secure under Your wings until dawn breaks anew. We ask these things trusting in Your unchanging faithfulness. Amen.
