Pray with the global church

Most High God, we bring before You the women of Kabul and Herat who have been arrested and oppressed under rigid laws. You see each heart longing for justice and dignity, and nothing escapes Your notice. Guard these women in their distress, and reveal Jesus as the defender of the weak in this land. Let Your truth and righteousness advance among those in authority, turning hearts of stone into flesh. Comfort families torn by fear, and sustain the believers quietly working for peace in Afghanistan. We ask for Your Spirit to move mightily so that Your name is lifted high above every other power. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
