Pray with the global church

God of Justice and Mercy, we bring before You Syria, where deep wounds of war and judgment continue to mark the land. You see all hearts, and Your judgments are true and righteous. As Wassim al-Assad faces this sentence, we ask that You reveal Jesus to him, that he might know the One who was pierced for our transgressions. Show him the mercy that triumphs over judgment, for You have mercy on whom You choose. Let Your light break through the darkness of hardened hearts, both in the courtrooms and across Syria. Establish Your peace in a land weary of conflict, and strengthen Your Church to be a beacon of hope and reconciliation. In the name of Jesus, the Light of the World, we pray. Amen.
