Pray with the global church

Redeemer, we come to You on behalf of this pastor's family in northeastern Nigeria. They have lived nearly a year under the shadow of threats and captivity, but Your name is a strong tower, and they find refuge beneath it. Guard their hearts with Your peace and fill them with the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind that stands unshaken amid fear. Break the chains binding them and bring deliverance where captivity has ruled. Speak "Be still" to their captors' hearts as only You can. May these militants encounter Jesus as Saul did on the road to Damascus. Bring justice and mercy to Borno state, and let the message of salvation reach every darkened place for Your name's sake. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
