Pray with the global church

God of refuge, we lift the believers in Sudan's Nuba Mountains to You as they face unspeakable violence and loss. Be their constant shelter and hiding place, even as war devastates their communities and churches. You are near to the brokenhearted; draw close to those grieving the loss of their leaders and loved ones. Restrain the hands of those who seek to do harm, and dismantle the networks of violence that target Your people. Reveal Jesus to the armed factions and to those who watch, that even in the midst of suffering, Your light might shine in the darkness. Sustain the faith of the church and let their testimony of grace be a beacon of hope. In the name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
