Pray with the global church

Everlasting God, we bring before You the land of western Uganda where violence and fear try to silence those who speak of Your Son. You have promised to be near to the brokenhearted; comfort the family and community mourning this brother who laid down his life for the sake of the Gospel. Reveal Jesus to those who harbor anger, and visit them with Your light that no darkness can overcome. Guard believers in Uganda standing firm in their witness, that they may not be crushed by fear but filled with a spirit of boldness and love. Let Your peace rule in hearts where hostility now resides, transforming persecutors into heralds of salvation. Establish the works of their hands, Lord, that many more might come to know Your truth. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen.
