Pray with the global church

Father of life, we thank You that You hold Your children near and carry their lives in Your hands. We pray for the six Christians killed this past weekend and the families that were left behind. As Central Nigeria is distraught by violence, murder, and death we remember that Satan is the one who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but that You came so people would have life abundantly. We speak over the land of Central Nigeria and send Your guardian angels to walk the land with peace, power, comfort, and compassion. That the Christians in this place would feel You nearness and presence so closely that it is as though You are wrapping them in a hug. We lift up those who have sought to create a place of violence and death in Central Nigeria. Holy Spirit, be the light that shines through the darkness and that can not be overcome. May hearts be turned to You and lives changed to reflect the life of Jesus.
