Pray with the global church

Living God, we bring before You the people of Afghanistan enduring five years of Taliban rule. Darkness seeks to hide Your light, but the darkness cannot overcome it. Hold fast those who suffer for Your name, that they might not be overcome by fear or despair. Reveal Jesus to leaders and neighbors alike, opening eyes that have long been blind to truth and compassion. Deliver believers from harm's way and set a hedge around them as they gather in Your name. Awaken the conscience of those who oppress, drawing them towards redemption and justice. Let peace blossom in a land torn by conflict, and let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. For the glory of Your name, now and forever. Amen.
