Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, we bring before You the believers in Jordan after the attack on a Greek Orthodox church. Your eyes see the suffering and the turmoil caused by this violence. Uphold those who are shaken by fear, and be their fortress in this distressing time. Reveal Jesus to those who stand against Your people, that even they might find life in Your name. Turn swords into plowshares across Jordan, and let peace flourish in the hearts of both attackers and defenders. Let Your light shine through the church, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. Strengthen their witness in word and deed until Your name is exalted in every heart. In the name of Christ, our Lord. Amen.
