Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, we bring before You the situation in Washington, where a pastor was arrested for praying outside the Chinese Embassy. You see each heart and know the cries of those who stand for truth. Guard this pastor and embolden him to continue standing firm, confident that blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake. Let Your justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream over all powers that oppose Your truth. Reveal Jesus to officials and onlookers who witness these acts, that they might come to know the One who sets captives free. Strengthen Your Church to stand united, unafraid of opposition, reflecting Your love and steadfastness. We trust in Your might and mercy through Christ our Lord. Amen.
