Pray with the global church

Shepherd, we bring before You the pastor in northeastern Nigeria and his family in their anguish. You know every hidden place and hear every cry of those in distress — deliver his wife and daughter from captivity. Guard their hearts with Your peace as they wait on rescue. Move powerfully to dismantle the plans of those who do evil. Reveal Jesus to these captors as You once met Saul on the road, turning a persecutor into a messenger of hope. Sustain the church in Nigeria with strength beyond understanding, and advance Your kingdom even here where darkness tries to rule. We trust in Your unfailing love and ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
