Pray with the global church

Living God, we lift up the believers working in the brick kilns of Pakistan, burdened under generations of bonded labor. In these places where song is silenced, let Your presence be their enduring song and hope. Pour out courage on families and workers bound to the kilns, sustaining them with a peace that surpasses understanding. Reveal Jesus to the heart of each man and woman laboring there, that light might shine in the deepest shadow. Turn the hearts of those who hold power over these laborers, restraining oppression and injustice wherever it rears its head. Protect these families and embolden them with love stronger than fear. For You are their refuge, their fortress in times of trouble. Glory be to You, who hears the cries of the oppressed and sets captives free. Amen.
