Pray with the global church

God of Grace, we lift up the believers in Borno state as they face heavy burdens for sharing the faith that sets captives free. You see the suffering of Your people, imprisoned not for wrongdoing but for declaring the gospel of Christ. Give courage to those facing punishment for their witness, and strengthen them with Your presence. Reveal Jesus to the officials who impose these sentences, and soften hearts that stand against Your name. Let the Good News spread even in prisons and courts where it seems least welcome. As Paul and Silas sang at midnight, let songs of hope rise from cells across Nigeria. We entrust our brothers and sisters to Your unfailing love. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
