Pray with the global church

Defender of the Weak, we come before You on behalf of the women political prisoners in Myanmar who suffer under harsh and unjust treatment. You, who do not grow tired or weary, see their plight and their pain. Pour out strength where hope seems lost, and sustain those deprived of medical care. Reveal Jesus to their captors and those in authority, that they might see Your light and be turned from darkness. Guard these women with Your mighty hand; let justice and compassion break through where cruelty reigns. Establish Your peace throughout Myanmar — a peace born of righteousness and rooted in Your mercy. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
