Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we bring before You the young sisters Amina and Shamila from Kibenge, Uganda, who faced unspeakable horror when their own father sought to destroy them. You are near to the brokenhearted, and we ask You to be their refuge and strength as they recover from this trauma. Let the light of Jesus shine through their suffering, healing their wounds and revealing Your steadfast love to their hearts. We pray for their father's heart, that it may turn from destruction toward repentance and salvation. Raise up a community around these sisters that embodies Your compassion and support. In this land scarred by division, make known Your power to save, bringing peace where there has been violence. For Your glory and in the name of Jesus our hope. Amen.
