God of all Wonders, we lift up the communities across China enduring the devastation of Typhoon Bavi. You spoke to the waves and they were still; speak now into the chaos of floods and displacement. Shelter the many thousands who have been evacuated, and provide for their immediate needs in this time of upheaval. Reveal Jesus as the One who calms the storm to the fearful and weary, and let Your peace dwell among them. Strengthen those who are aiding in relief and rescue efforts, and let Your compassion flow through their hands. May this time of distress become a moment of grace, turning hearts toward the one true Refuge. In the name of Christ who commands the wind and the waves, we pray. Amen.
