Pray with the global church

God of Truth, we lift before You the detained Christian journalist in Nigeria who remains held without charges. You see the injustice in every corner of the earth, and Your eyes are on those who seek righteousness. Bring his unjust captivity to light, and let truth reign in a place clouded by fear and silence. Guard those believers close to him, especially those caring for wounded relatives in hospital wards marked by recent violence. Give them courage rooted in Your strength as they navigate each uncertain day. Reveal Jesus to the military leaders and officials involved, that their hearts may be turned from persecution to repentance. Let Your Word go forth powerfully through this darkness, breaking chains both seen and unseen. For You alone can turn despair into hope, and through Christ our Lord we ask it. Amen.
