Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, we bring before You the city of Jerusalem, where a young Christian boy was attacked in the Armenian Quarter on Yom Kippur. In this place meant to be set apart for reflection, hostility arose instead. Cover him with peace where fear has tried to take root. Open eyes to see the truth and lead hearts towards repentance, especially those caught in cycles of hatred and retribution. You have declared that vengeance is Yours and that You will repay—let that assurance quiet the aggrieved and provoke repentance in those who wrong others. Reveal Jesus, the Prince of Peace, both to those who attack and those who bear wounds. Establish Your kingdom where violence now strains human dignity. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
