Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we bring before You the people of Istanbul in the wake of this devastating flood. Lives have been lost, families are mourning, and many face uncertainty as search efforts continue. Uphold those who grieve with Your compassion, and let Your nearness be their comfort amidst deep sorrow. Steady the rescue teams as they work, and reveal Jesus to those searching for hope in the aftermath. May Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard the hearts of those who are fearful or anxious now. Let the church in Istanbul be a light on this difficult road, speaking Your truth and love into anxious hearts. For the sake of Christ our Lord, whose name is our refuge. Amen.
