Pray with the global church

God of Justice and Defender of the Innocent, we bring before You the children of the Syrian village who have faced the violence of armed conflict. In a land where innocence is shattered, we ask You to protect the young and vulnerable from the arrows that fly by day, and the terror that stalks at night. May Your peace descend like a river across this wounded place. Reveal Jesus as the Healer to those whose hearts are burdened with grief and fear. Turn the hearts of those who wield weapons towards peace, and let Your light shine into the deepest darkness, bringing hope where despair has taken root. For You, Lord, are a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble. We trust in Your righteous governance for the sake of Your name. Amen.
