Pray with the global church

Father, we lift up the students and educators of Lassa, Nigeria, who have been violently taken from their place of learning. You see the grief and terror that now grips their families and communities. Protect these young lives in their captivity, and let the plans of their captors come to nothing. Strengthen the hearts of believers in Borno state, and let their faith shine as a beacon of hope and courage. Reveal Jesus to the abductors and all who are complicit in this violence, that they might turn from darkness to light. Let Your justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream, bringing true peace to this region. We entrust these lives to Your unfailing care, in the name of Jesus, our Deliverer. Amen.
