Pray with the global church

Living God, we lift up Iran where recent executions cast a shadow over those who seek freedom and justice. You alone have the power to break the oppressor's rod and set the captives free. Sustain the families of Ali Hemmati Sistanian, Alireza Raisi, Alireza Sepahi, Majid Nikandish, and Siavash Jamshidi as they grieve unbearable loss. Bring light to officials and those blinded by hatred that they may know Jesus, who turned Saul into Paul on the road to Damascus. Stir courage among believers in Iran to stand firm and shine as lights in a dark place, drawing others to the truth of Christ. Guard their hearts from fear as You bring forth righteousness like the dawn. For Your glory and honor in this troubled land. Amen.
