Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we lift up the village in southern Jordan where the church was assaulted during a funeral. Grief surrounds these families, and their wounds lie open. Shelter them under Your wings, and mend what feels beyond healing. You are near to the brokenhearted; be very near to those who mourn. Restrain those who would seek further violence, and bring peace to troubled hearts across this land. Reveal Jesus to all who saw or heard of this attack — from the attackers themselves to every onlooker and official involved — that they may see Him as the Resurrection and the Life. We entrust these families to Your unchanging care, asking for healing and hope that only You can bring. Through Christ, who is our peace. Amen.
