Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we bring before You the nations of Germany and France, where hatred has touched Your churches and people. You see the wounds inflicted and the desecrations endured, and You are near to the brokenhearted. Establish Your refuge and strength in every believer affected by these acts, that they may not be disheartened but stand firm in faith. Let them tangibly feel Your loving embrace that surrounds them and their families. Reveal Jesus to those who commit such acts, that they may encounter the One who forgave even from the cross. Transform these places of violence into sanctuaries of peace, and let Your love be known across Europe. May Your justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. We ask this through Christ, our sure foundation. Amen.
