Pray with the global church

Good Shepherd, we lift up the community of Inoyi, Affa, where violence has disrupted worship and left fear in its wake. You are the Shepherd who walks with us through the valley of the shadow of death, and we ask for Your presence to comfort the abducted seminarian and others held captive in Enugu. Guide them with Your rod and staff, and let their hearts find courage in Your abiding presence. Protect the families who have fled their homes, and establish peace in the villages abandoned by fear. Reveal Jesus to those who persecute and to the watchers who stand on the sidelines. Let mercy and truth meet in this land, that many may turn to You, the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls. In Your wisdom and grace, we trust. Amen.
