Pray with the global church

Lord God, our hearts turn to Nigeria where young graduates face torture and fear in the hands of their captors. You are near to the brokenhearted and save those crushed in spirit. Draw close to these abducted ones, and let Your comfort surround them in their darkest hours. Break the chains of injustice holding them and rescue them from every trap laid by violence. Speak peace into this terrorized land and reveal Jesus to the captors, that they may turn from paths of destruction to the way of life. Strengthen believers across Nigeria to be lights in this darkness, and let Your Gospel advance in power despite every threat. We ask in faith through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
