Earlier this year, the Supreme Court of Finland found Päivi Räsänen guilty under a legal statute concerning "War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity." Räsänen has been a member of Finland's parliament since 1995 and is a former Minister of the Interior for the nation.

God of Truth, we lift up Finland and pray for Päivi Räsänen as she walks through trial and accusation. Thank You for the strength of Your Word that encourages her to stand firm even when falsely charged. Let Your light shine in the midst of this darkness, bringing justice and revealing Christ to many. Guard her heart and mind with peace beyond understanding. We ask You to open the eyes of those who accuse and oppose her, that they might encounter Your truth and love. Sustain the believers in Finland, giving them courage and hope. Let the name of Jesus be glorified in this land as You establish Your purposes. In His powerful name, Amen.
