God of Eternal Legacy, we remember the Franciscans martyred in Peru 35 years ago, and we honor their steadfastness in staying with the people entrusted to their care. You do not forget the labor of love shown in Your name, and their sacrifice echoes the legacy of Jesus, who laid down His life for others. Multiply the fruit of their ministry among the communities they served, and let their witness inspire courage in the current and future generations of believers in Peru. Reveal Jesus to all who hear their story, that many may come to trust in the One who is the resurrection and the life. In Your mercy, let the peace of Christ rule in the hearts of those who remember and mourn, and may their testimony continue to bear fruit. For the honor of Your name we pray. Amen.
