Pray with the global church

God of Peace, we lift up the waters of the Strait of Hormuz where tankers have been destroyed by naval mines. Turmoil and fear grip those navigating these perilous routes. Lord, You calm the seas with a word — speak Your peace over this region and dismantle the snares of conflict. Reveal Jesus to the seafarers passing through, to officials monitoring these waters, and to leaders who must decide how to respond. Guard those working under threat and draw all who are weary into the rest found in You. Establish Your peace beyond human reach; let righteousness flourish like a tree planted by streams of water. We entrust these waters to Your sovereign care, in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
