Pray with the global church

Most High God, we lift up Kabul where women and girls face captivity under the eyes of those who enforce law without mercy. You have heard the cries of Your daughters, taken and oppressed — remember them now with the compassion only You can bring. Deliver them from this cruelty and darkness, that they might dwell in safety and peace. Reveal Jesus to their captors, who themselves are bound in their blindness, turning hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. Let righteousness and justice flow like a never-ending stream in that land. Sustain the church that quietly meets there, and protect those who hold onto faith in secret. In Your strength, stand as their shield against fear and violence. For You reign over all things with truth and grace. Amen.
