Pray with the global church

Holy God, we bring before You the beleaguered communities of Adamawa State, where Boko Haram has razed churches and captured families. You see the destruction and the emptied villages, and in Your light there is no darkness at all. Rise up and defend these people from terror; stretch out Your hand to save the abducted and shelter those who mourn. Reveal Jesus to the captors, that they might be struck with His light and turn from destruction to salvation. Strengthen the believers standing firm despite fear and loss, let their faith speak louder than threats. Establish peace in these villages, make war cease in their fields, that they might dwell in safety once more. Our trust is in You alone, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
