Pray with the global church

God of Comfort and Justice, we lift up Gaza where the innocent are caught in violence beyond their control. As an eight-year-old girl and her father have lost their lives in tragic conflict, we mourn with those who mourn. You are close to the brokenhearted and save those crushed in spirit; let Your presence rest upon grieving families in this land. Establish peace where hostility rages, and let the light of Jesus shine in the hearts of those who walk in darkness. Restrain the hands of violence, reveal Your righteousness to those who lead and follow, and make a way where there seems to be none. We trust in Your mercy and justice, believing that You are able to do more than we ask or imagine. In the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, Amen.
