Pray with the global church

Living God, we remember the young Coptic Christian whose faith in Christ led to his martyrdom in Libya. His sacrifice bears witness to Your strength perfected in weakness. Let the blood of Your saints be a seed that multiplies manyfold in this land. Embolden the believers of Libya with the same courage that sustained him, and comfort his family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Pour out Your Spirit over Libya, turning the hearts of persecutors toward Jesus. May those who witnessed his unwavering faith see in him the truth of the One who laid down His life for all. In the name of Jesus, who is our life and resurrection, Amen.
