Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, we lift up the six journalists unjustly detained in Egypt for their dedication to truth. You see their suffering and know each one by name — sustain them under pressure and be their refuge in these trials. Embolden them to stand firm, even as they are afflicted, and protect their families from fear and despair. Speak into the hearts of those holding them captive; reveal Jesus as the light that darkness cannot overcome. Let truth take root across Egypt and draw more hearts toward Your justice and mercy. To You belong all power and grace, through Christ our Savior. Amen.
