Sovereign Lord, we lift up the Democratic Republic of the Congo as it faces the relentless spread of Ebola, claiming lives and exhausting health workers. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble—uphold those who labor tirelessly to care for the sick, and sustain the families who have lost loved ones. Dismantle the spread of this disease, and let Your healing touch reach every corner of the Congo. Reveal Jesus to those who are in despair, that they might find hope and comfort in Your presence. Strengthen the believers in the Congo to be agents of compassion and peace in this crisis, and let their witness shine brightly. To You belong all wisdom, power, and glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
