Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we bring before You the grieving hearts in South Wollo, Amhara Region, as they mourn the loss of their beloved community members in the Arsema Monastery. You are near to the brokenhearted and save those crushed in spirit — be their refuge and strength in this dark hour, a very present help in trouble. Grant them the grace to forgive those who have caused this harm, for You have called us to bless those who persecute us, and to overcome evil with good. Let the light of Your love shine through their pain, so that even those who have struck against them might encounter the kindness of Christ. Reveal Jesus as the true peace in Ethiopia, and strengthen the church there to be a beacon of hope and reconciliation. All honor and glory be Yours, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
