Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, we lift up the church in Cuba as they face opposition and hardship. You see Your children there — Your eyes are on the righteous, and Your ears are attentive to their prayers. Surround the detained pastor with Your presence, granting him peace even in confinement. Raise up bold intercessors within the local congregations, filled with the Spirit's power, to labor earnestly in prayer for his release and for the advance of Your kingdom in Cuba. Turn the hearts of authorities towards mercy, and reveal Jesus to every official who opposes Your name. Let truth and grace penetrate every barrier set against the gospel, and let Your Church stand firm under pressure. We trust in You, the Shepherd of our souls. Amen.
