Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, who commands the armies of heaven and sees the plight of the oppressed, we lift up Romany Gharib Adly Azer, detained unjustly in Egypt. You know his heart and his cries, and Your eyes are upon the righteous and the brokenhearted. Deliver him from this captivity and let justice roll down like waters. Guard his faith against despair, and let the peace of Christ guard his heart and mind in all circumstances. Reveal Jesus to those who hold him and to the officials determining his fate. Let Your light break forth as the dawn in Egypt, drawing many to Your truth and mercy. To You belong all power and authority, now and forever. Amen.
