Pray with the global church

Most High God, we lift up Mozambique in the wake of this grievous violence against Your servant, the bishop. You have called Your people to be light in darkness, and we stand with them as they speak against injustice and greed. Strengthen the believers in Quelimane with courage to follow Christ’s example, walking in love as He gave Himself for us. For those who persecute Your church, reveal Jesus to them as the Light of the world. Let love replace hatred and fear, for You said to bless those who curse us. We ask that truth shine through every dark plot and bring many into Your kingdom. We trust in Your justice and mercy, knowing that even in sorrow, You are near. For the sake of Your great name we pray. Amen.
