Pray with the global church

Holy God, we stand with the believers of Syria as they face danger and loss. Shine Your light into the darkness around them, revealing Jesus to those who are held captive and those who hold others captive. Open eyes that are blinded by hatred, and turn hearts toward repentance, that Your love might bring captors and the captured into community together. Guard these faithful ones under the shadow of Your wings, and let their testimony ring clear as a witness to Your power. Pour out courage upon them, and disrupt the schemes of those who plot harm against the vulnerable. We entrust these lives to You, for You alone have broken chains and set prisoners free. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
