God of All Comfort, we lift up the Christian relief worker held captive in Sudan’s Nuba Mountains. You are the refuge and strength of those in distress, and Your presence makes each heart secure even in the midst of captivity. Sustain her with Your peace that surpasses understanding and give her family hope in Your steadfast love. Reveal Jesus to the captors, opening their hearts to Your mercy and truth. Let this time of trial become a testimony of Your power to deliver, and bring freedom and healing to all involved. We trust that You are a God who rescues and redeems, and we ask this through Jesus Christ our Redeemer and Lord. Amen.
