Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we bring before You the grief and fear gripping the community of Tyomu after the abduction of 18 mourners on their way to a burial. In this dark valley, let Your comfort reach those hearts shaken by loss and violence. You have promised to be near to the brokenhearted—stay close now to these families and reveal Your presence in their deepest need. Reveal Jesus even to those who took these mourners captive, that they might encounter Your grace as Saul did on his way to Damascus. Transform what seems unredeemable into an opportunity for salvation. Guide the local church in Benue with wisdom and courage as they stand in the face of adversity. Let their witness shine brightly, proclaiming peace where hostility has ruled. To You belong the glory and power forever, Amen.
