Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we lift before You the Christian mother attacked in Somalia, trusting in Your tender care for her and her family. You have promised to be near to the brokenhearted and to save those crushed in spirit. Surround her with Your healing presence, and let her know she is not forsaken in her suffering. Strengthen the believers in Somalia, that they might find refuge in Your unfailing love even in the face of persecution. Reveal Jesus to those who oppose Your name, and turn the hearts of extremists from violence to peace. May the light of Christ shine through the darkness, drawing many to salvation. For the glory of Your name, we pray. Amen.
