Pray with the global church

Everlasting God, we lift up the grieving community in Gaza City where a mother and daughter, Maysa Khader Ibrahim Abu Daoud and Mary Hafez Abu Daoud, were among those killed in recent strikes. You see their sorrow and tears. Comfort the mourners and be near to the brokenhearted there. Reveal Jesus as the resurrection and the life, even amidst death's shadow, assuring believers that those who sleep in Him will rise. Shelter Your people under Your wings, let justice roll down like waters, and bring peace where violence has sown fear. Draw both victims and aggressors to the light of Christ, who forgives even His foes. We trust Your hand to move for good in these days of grief. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
